We all have met people that say one thing and mean another. Many well known people have spoken out on various topics. We have listed some quotes and what we believe was actually meant.

WHAT THEY MEANT,

WHAT THEY SAID,

WHAT THEY MEANT,
I need the Christian right not you.


WHAT THEY SAID,

WHAT THEY MEANT,
I was planning on supporting Obama I just wanted to bug Gingrich.

I have had a lot of corporate money go to me, especially in this campaign.

Our nuclear weapons are for sale to the highest bidder.

She is the exact opposite of Newt Gingrich.

"If I finish dead last in the mix I'll go home but I don't think that's going to happen,"
- Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on whether he would lose the Iowa caucus, which he went on to place a very close second.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
That spot is reserved for Michele Bachmann.


WHAT THEY SAID,
"We are not going to go out and run nasty ads. We're not going to go out and run 30-second gotcha -- we're not. But I do reserve the right to tell the truth."
- Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, on firing back at rival Mitt Romney.

Romney ran nasty 30-second gotcha ads that told the truth about my record and I won't do it because I can't find someone willing to give me the money to pay for the ads.

I am a social conservative and big government Republican.


WHAT THEY SAID,
"Get a load of some of the crazy things heís said and done, like taking his two-hour-old baby who died right after childbirth home and played with it for a couple of hours so his other children would know that the child was real."
- Fox News commentator Alan Colmes, on Rick Santorum taking his son who died after childbirth home for the night so his children could know him.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
I don't even play with my children when they are alive never mind when they are dead.


WHAT THEY SAID,
"People have asked me how Iíve done this, sitting back at the polls and not getting a whole lot of attention paid to us."
- Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on coming in a close second in the Iowa caucus.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
Once Herman Cain dropped out and all the others had risen and dropped in the polls, it was my turn to be the anti-Romney candidate.


WHAT THEY SAID,
"While a congressman by title, a politician I never have been, nor will I ever be."
- Former Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, on announcing the suspension of her presidential campaign.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
I am not a good politician or a I wouldn't have come in last in my birth state of Iowa.
