WHAT THEY SAID
&
WHAT THEY MEANT

We all have met people that say one thing and mean another. Many well-known people have spoken out on various topics. We have listed some quotes and what we believe was actually meant.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"We've heard these rumors. We don't know what to believe and I'm sure there will be even more rumors. That's why it is incumbent upon the FBI to tell us what they're talking about,"
- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, on the FBI reopening the Clinton e-mail probe looking into new e-mails allegedly found on Hillary aide and current vice chairwoman of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign Huma Abedin and her husband Anthony Weiner's private laptop computer.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
I could ask Huma what is on her laptop but I would rather blame the FBI for politicizing my e-mail probe.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"The director himself has said he doesn't know whether the emails referenced in his letter are significant or not,"
- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, on the FBI reopening the Clinton e-mail probe looking into new e-mails allegedly found on Hillary aide and current vice chairwoman of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign Huma Abedin and her husband Anthony Weiner's private laptop computer.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
The director could just ask Huma and he would know it was just girl talk.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"It is extraordinary that we would see something like this just 11 days out from a presidential election,Ē
- Hillary Clintonís campaign chairman John Podesta in a statement, on the FBI reopening the Clinton e-mail probe.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
It is extraordinary the FBI would look into her top aide's personal computer with just 11 days out from a presidential election! They could have asked her months ago for it. Oh maybe they did. Still extraordinary.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"The Director owes it to the American people to immediately provide the full details of what he is now examining."
- Hillary Clintonís campaign chairman John Podesta, on the FBI reopening the Clinton e-mail probe.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
I blame the FBI Director for looking into unknown e-mails on Huma Abedin's laptop not Huma for having them there.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"When you do this 11 days before a presidential election, and you donít provide many details, but details are apparently being given by the FBI to the press this is very, very troubling."
- Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine on the FBI reopening the Clinton e-mail probe.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
This is very, very troubling for me becoming vice president.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"I have great respect for the fact that the FBI and the DOJ are now willing to have the courage to right the horrible mistake that they made. This was a grave miscarriage of justice that the American people fully understand. It is everybodyís hope that it is about to be corrected."
Republican presidential candidate Donald J Trump, on the FBI reopening the Clinton e-mail probe.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
I have great respect for the FBI when it suits my needs.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"I will do anything that she wants if she's elected president to help her. But I'm not looking to be in the administration. It's time for me to move on."
- Vice President Joe Biden, on rumors Hillary Clinton would consider him for secretary of state in her administration.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
I'm not looking to be part of a corrupt administration. I have my legacy to think of.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"I donít think she understood the gravity of setting it up. She thought this was okay to do."
- Vice President Joe Biden, on Hillary Clinton setting up a server in her home for government work.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
I donít think she is very smart. She thought this was okay to do.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"The FBI has a history of extreme caution near Election Day so as not to influence the results. Todayís break from that tradition is appalling."
- Sen. Dianne Feinstein, on the FBI reopening the Clinton e-mail probe.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
Todayís break from that tradition is appalling because it hurts my candidate, if it was on Donald Trump it would be the rule of law.

WHAT THEY SAID,
"We of course stand behind her, completely and voluntarily complied with and cooperated with the investigation."
- Hillary Clintonís campaign chairman John Podesta, on Huma Abedin vice chairwoman of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.
WHAT THEY MEANT,
We of course stand behind her, she knows too much.
